The LOVE list
July 31st 2007 02:26
For the lovers of lists, and the love for lists...
My first love...
...was my neighbour. I was about 5 or 6, and he was about 8 or 9? I actually don't know but he was an *older man* <giggle>. I used to look forward to the afternoon after homework was done, and granny allowed me to play outside. It was an un-made appointment where we faithfully met by the fence that separated our properties. He was a bit of a loner I think, as he was always rather sullen. We would usually play... without words. One day, he wasn't by the fence. I asked granny where he was - she said: "No one knows, dear. Mr and Mrs Zee didn't say very much. I'm sorry you'll miss *the boy* but there will be another..." To *my* boy by the fence, I hope you're well... ...and perhaps remember those afternoons by the fence...
What I love about... (anything you can think of or want to share…)
...food and cooking is it's therapeutic and nourishing.
...rainy weather is it's a very good reason to stay indoors with a good book or movie and a bottle of red.
…travelling is seeing how other cultures/people live, and being immersed into that atmosphere.
What I love doing...
...are skinny-dipping in the moonlight, having chocolate for breakfast and lounging around in my *house clothes/sleepwear* all day - not necessarily in that order
Your turn...What can you tell us about:
My first love...
What I love about...
What I love doing...

My first love was with a guy named Alexis - a neighbour of my grandmother's when I was 11. I played hard to get and he chased me around everywhere. It was the first time I ever got the case of fluttering butterflies in my stomach. We never had a private conversation, no confessions of love but a lot of lingering looks. Then I had to leave for Australia but I pined for him for 2 years. sigh.
what I love about...my family. We didn't start off like The Brady Bunch - sharing 1 bathroom between 6 of you has a way of making you want to stay away from home for a while. But only when I started working, moved out of home, got married did I realise that family indeed comes first.
what I love doing...is spending time with my husband. He makes me feel good. Enough said.

What I love about rainy days - is that its a great excuse to lay on the couch under the doona reading or watching movies.
What I love doing is: spending all day laying on the couch reading (one of my guilty pleasures!)

what I love about... wild weather on a pebbly beach is that it`s so loud I can shout at the top of my voice and no one can hear... not that there is anyone at the beach at those times!
what I love doing... is sitting somewhere really quiet on a cloudy day and making pictures from the clouds... turning the whole sky into a story in progress.... epics if it`s cloudy for a few days

I had my first love... or crush (it's all the same
What I love about romance is that it can make men cry. Romance can lead to the downfall of someone great. Romance can make someone sleep smiling. Romance can make non-dancers dance.
What I love doing? WRITING.

Hi Ash...Mmm...I gotta try that shouting sometime -- sounds like a good release! Yea, clouds are great -- i saw a tiny blue island the other day amidst the puffy dark clouds, was rather surreal...here it is...
