Are most of us like the penguin or the beetle?

Communication, honesty and truth are the cornerstones of a good relationship. However, some things may be better left unsaid…for example; the number of partners that one has had.
This ad for A&E TV made me curious. Are most of us like the penguin…or…the beetle? Or are we in between?
I have a friend who keeps a spreadsheet (!) on who she has been with plus particular details on the person(s). In fact, her girlfriends and her have quite regular *meetings* to analyse their spreadsheets together. They of course don’t at all plan on divulging any information from their spreadsheets to anyone, apart from their little clique.
Have you/would you tell your partner the number of partners you’ve been with? Is it even necessary to divulge?
I think, what you don’t know won’t hurt you…but I would ask for sexual health checks. If he refuses, I'd be walking...

Very interesting post! Laughed out loud about your friend who keeps a spreadsheet, how efficient, haha.
I wonder if lions are having to settle for fewer partners as their numbers decrease... Had no idea ladybirds were so promiscuous!
