Rare…but possible
Sex caused a 35-year-old woman with life-threatening stroke. Though rare, sex and orgasm triggered strokes are not unheard of.
Although it was too late to give the woman a clot-busting drug, which must be given within three hours of a stroke, the medical team acted swiftly using a different technique to un-clot the blood – sparing the young woman her life and long-term effects of the stroke.
Reading the article, I panicked a little. Sex is after all a healthy connecting point in many loving relationships. Does that mean we should stop having sex or achieving orgasm?
Thankfully not!

"This young woman ... while having intercourse had numbness on the left side of her face, slurred speech, and weakness in her left arm," Biller tells WebMD. "When she was transferred to our care six hours after onset, she was completely unable to move her left arm, her face was paralyzed, her speech was garbled, and she was in a state of panic."
