There’s a saying that ‘you can tell a lot about a person by how they play sports or games.’ In the last few months, I’ve been absorbed – an understatement – by a particular farming game.
What’s so exciting about that? I’m not sure but there sure is a ginormous community out there, from all over the world. Simply, you just plow, plant and harvest but there are other little bonuses here and there – like collecting items (you find while farming) for various collections. You might also find rare items and bonuses while collecting from your stable, chicken coop and what not – all helping towards your advancement in the game. That’s when it gets ugly…
Some smart aleck software developers decided that people need help with collecting these rare items and bonuses – simply, they’ve encouraged people to
What’s the big deal? Lots, particularly for the people who do not use these unfair game play tactics. Why? Because people with these unfair game play tactics will never be able to collect anything from the share feeds – the human hand clicking on the mouse and the human eyes going through the news feed does not compare to an automated programmed device. So, what IS the big deal? The intention of the game or to play is for socializing and for it to be fun. Cheating takes away the fun for everyone and it’s not very social is it? Without your neighbors, you won’t be able to *cheat* anyway, because you’ll have no one to take items and bonuses from.
Many of us have arrived at the high levels without using any form of helper applications/tools, and it is possible – even without having copious amount of neighbors. I just don’t understand why some people need to get ahead this way, in reality, are you really advancing?

I reckon I could pick the people I know in real life who would spend all their time working out how to cheat at anything instead of doing things properly.
