Australia's Perfect Couple
July 22nd 2009 13:30
Yet another reality TV show…in the name of *research* I had to check it out. This time, eight couples will over the next six weeks vie for the title of Australia's Perfect Couple and the chance to win up to a quarter of a million dollars.
The show which premiered tonight is hosted by Jules Lund of ‘Getaway’ fame. The one-hour segments will run every Wednesday at 7:30pm (Sydney), Channel 9 for the next few weeks.
From the trailers, it looks like the couples will go through a series of obstacles that test their trust and endurance, as well as intimacy and commitment. No doubt the *tests* will also test each couple's patience with each other as well as dramatise some issues (just) for TV.
On tonight's episode, the couple dubbed the ‘yuppie power couple.’ Lealie and Chris were voted off. Were they really the group’s fiercest competition…or was it their arrogance that got them booted off? Watch their parting words here.
So, seven couples remain.
The trailers were perhaps well edited or maybe it's too early to tell, but really...yaAAwn... I seriously doubt that I’ll bother to tune in again…

Do you think you'll keep watching, Lara?

Nope -- don't plan on watching it. I think there will be a lot more of *that eliminated couple's behaviour/attitude* with some of the remaining couples. ...and it all looks a tad bit *boring*...
What do you think, Tracy?
